We Traditionally War Along Lineage Lines

Throughout evolutionary history (“until yesterday”) the common heuristic for friendliness and enemyness was lineage. This is true in animals, plants - all life throughout evolutionary biology - as well as in human cultures. Only very recently have we designed a society where different lineages can expect to get along.
