Michican won’t remove trump from the ballot: https://www.axios.com/2023/12/27/michigan-trump-ballot-news, but Colorado already has. It occurs to me that this would be an unexpected start to something like a civil war. various states use whatever convoluted legal means they can to remove whichever candidate doesn’t match the color of their state on the map. This seems like it would lead to an odd sort of balkanization/divorce. as I understand the concept, this might work against the-duopoly, as it could break up the unitary nature of it. Related question: is a civil war good for the duopoly or bad for it?
