John Zerzan claims that life before domestication/agriculture was leisure, intimacy with nature, equality and health. This comes from a particular reading of Marshall Sahlins and Richard B Lee, anthropologists.
However, it only applies to hunter-gathers who lack domesticated plants or animals. Once domestication comes in, hierarchy emerges.
Why is that?
