Mindfulness is Like A Knowledge Representation Without a Solver

In learning about [[solving-problems-with-knowledge-based-agents]], it occurred to me to put mindfulness meditation through the same lens as knowledge-based AI systems. Humans automatically apply [[problem-solving-method]]s to the world around them. Our minds are constantly chugging along with [[lesson-04_generate-and-test]] and other algorithms. “Success” in meditation can be thought of as existing purely as [[knowledge-representation]] without subsequently doing any problem-solving against that representation.
