Bundle identifier or Bundle ID: uniqly ids an app in apple’s ecosystem. recommended reverse domain naming: co.quartus, co.quartus.tent, co.quartus.swop

App ID

an App ID represents one or more apps in Apple’s ecosystem. it is a:
Team ID + bundle ID search string

team ID: abc123, for example. this is autogenerated by apple - ignore it mostly.

abc123.co.quartus.swop

Explicit App ID

used for one application.

abc123.co.quartus.swop - explicit. matches bundle id for one application.

Wildcard App ID

used for one or more applications

abc123.co.quartus.*

matches all bundle ids created under co.quartus

The wildcard app ID is so that you can adjust settings and whatnot for multiple apps.
