I just got the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine. I’m sitting here reassuring myself that I’m in the 99.9% of people who have zero bad time. There’s a certain way it feels to convince yourself that you’re simply part of some large, uninteresting herd.
And then in other moments in life, you have convictions or make choices that clearly indicate you believe yourself to be some rare .1%-er (in creativity, potential, intelligence, whatever).
