BJ Campbell says - in the chat - that the intro music is a divergence from the Ministry concert he was at last night. I said I was at the Boston one - but there for the melvins.
BJ:
What robb is looking at, the swarm, it’s root in political and up. image memes: thought compression. could have an entire political philosophy in one image (“without government, who’d fix the roads”) posting memes is a massive information communication event. sharing them, etc. - we’re throwing tons of information around way more than human brains could. we might already be in the kurzweil singularity and this new thing is using us as a substrate.
the Robb swarm behavior may be dictated by the egregore.
Pat: human has a feeling, feeling overwhelms the body, body sends that to another human in a transmission (audio, visual, etc, etc), inside that transmission is an encoding of the feeling. which is transferred to antoher, decoded aand then takes over the other body.
whoever controls the vast majority of the market controls the price (in the concept of swarms). purchase power and price control.
(Price Discovery: the convergent equilibrium between supply and demand)
swamrs dsexribe behave egregore describnes the autocult describes mechanics - command-based, market-based.
moral-shaping agents are cybernetic in nature (part algorithmic). they have ot answer ot economic realities at some point. the limitations of those economic realities can help predict where these things will pop up in the future.
Hall: if we’re in this conetemplation mode of this thing, we have to notice that any concept you believe you can use is already a tool in the war between these things: time, causation. can’t operatore outside the context of egregores.
BJ: what is true in the virtual world is what is viral. so information space moves further from ground truth and into crazy rabbit holes.
Hall: evolution of egregore things. we’re at maybe the “limbic stage” or something.
Patrick: the internet that we went through a decade ago hasn’t even really rolled out to other parts of the world yet. we’re going to go through this egregore price-discovery phase over and over again for hundreds of years.
Hall: The Indian mind is very receptive to egregores. Cosmic consciousness doing sponteneous creation - that’s their fuckin soup.
Pat: very few minds/cultures know how to react when egregores are doing price discovery collectively.
Robb: This networked decision making process sort of re-evokes the tribal morality mindset.
BJ: china is doing a new kind of confucianism, the west is going on pure virality.
Hall: It’s worse than that, “china is IN CHINA”.
If we can’t get to your questions, you can email me directly and i’ll reply patrick.ryan@codeotter.com
Stephanie Lepp laughed hard at this.
Jordan Hall says that he came from the future and that this event was a good thing.
