Unconscious Though Theory (UTT) tells us that for decisions involving lots of information and vague/conflicting constraints, the unconscious mind is better-suited than the conscious, focusing mind. One reason may be that the unconscious machinery has higher neuronal bandwidth than the focusing machinery
- this can lead to novel, surprising and useful solutions to problems that are steeping there.
