African Apes Split Up 7 Million Years Ago

Our common ancestor broke up into what would become

• Modern Gorillas (these split off slightly before the others)
• Two types of modern Chimpanzee
• What would become Homo Sapiens

This is the first point, genetically, ancestrally, humans separated from “the animals”
